Frustrated with halitosis, now it's time to get fresh breath
No one likes bad breath; it's a major turn-off when you're talking to someone, and that foul odor coming from the mouth can be a major drawback in conversation. Bad breath emerges as a result of the presence of odor-causing bacteria thriving in the oral cavity. Failure to adhere to regular brushing and flossing practices allows the accumulation of bacteria on food remnants and between teeth. Consequently, the sulfur compounds emitted by these bacteria contribute to the unpleasant odor of one's breath. Here's how bad breath can be controlled: Brush twice a day. Floss every day. Cleaning the tongue is a must. Use antibacterial mouthwash. Avoid chewing tobacco and minimize intake of caffeine and alcohol. Avoid letting your mouth dry out. Drink an adequate amount of water. In some cases, such as acid reflux, it may be the underlying reason for bad breath. Seek medical help in such cases.
